Venice is world-famous for shark tooth hunting, thanks to an ancient riverbed located about a mile offshore where fossils are gradually released and washed ashore. The gently sloping ocean floor creates the perfect conditions for shark teeth and other fossils to appear along the shoreline.
Caspersen Beach is especially popular and considered one of the best places to find shark teeth. You’ll also love exploring Manasota Beach, Venice Beach, the Venice Fishing Pier, and several other nearby coastal spots.
For golf lovers, there are beautiful golf courses just 10–20 minutes away, offering great scenery and top-notch play.
